This homemade applesauce is fabulous. It’s just a little tart and perfectly seasoned with just enough cinnamon and nutmeg to complement the flavour of the apples. It’s a wonderful addition to breakfast but is just as good as a snack or a dessert.
- In a large saucepan, bring all the ingredients to a simmer over medium heat.
- Cook for 10 – 20 minutes, stirring frequently, until the apples are tender.
- Serve hot, or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
